As we bring another fantastic year to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our members, and volunteers. Here is to Dry Dock Brewing Company for hosting our end of year awards banquet! ![]()
A special shoutout goes to our volunteers and board-committee members who worked tirelessly to organize events, maintain our facilities, and keep the wind in our sails (figuratively).![]()
As we look ahead to an exciting 2025, let’s take a moment to celebrate the friendships we’ve forged, the skills we’ve honed, and the memories we’ve created this year!
Phyllis Lann, grandmother of DSA member Jeff Miller, would like to thank our community for collecting soda can tabs all season and gifting her the amazing collection. She collects tabs to recycle and raise money for the local Ronald McDonald House Charity.

Junior Sailor of the Year – CSC nominates names, Anyone under 19 years of age for sportsmanship, enthusiasm, technical ability, general knowledge of sailing and participation![]()
Most Improved Sailor – Given to the sailor who has shown the most improvement over the past season![]()
USSA Sportsmanship Award – The member who demonstrates outstanding sportsmanship in competition and on shore![]()
Lame Duck Award – Given to the sailor experiencing the most unusual equipment breakage during the season![]()
Turtle Award – Given to the sailor who has the most notable capsize(s) or the first capsize of the year![]()
Ronnie Hegel Memorial Award – Give to the best crew of the year![]()
Captain Hornblower Award – Given for participation, competitiveness, and sportsmanship![]()
O.C. Quatelbaum Award - Skipper with the most enthusiasm, participation, and consideration of notable competitive sailing achievements![]()
